When I create art I create worlds, and considering how I would adapt my play for this gallery I worked off of what I created for the play. This wasn’t straightforward. When creating the play, I worked off of what I had built for a modern comic adaptation of The Oresteia and when creating that I worked from the Greek tragedies which in turn were adapted from stories that already existed in mythology. I am deeply interested in adaptation, what parts of stories remain, and how they change. The desk is a set piece, dressed with symbolic objects from inside my mind.
