Olivia Rae Dolls

Dolls. I'm fascinated/delighted/obsessed. Their metaphorical resonance, their elegant construction, their ability to capture characters. Compact little pieces of art. Fashion experiments. Tiny creatures of clay or plastic, the bold and colorful cousins of the carved stone statues of old.

I started teaching myself to make simple clay dolls in high school, with wired or strung together limbs, and have evolved them into hand sculpted ball jointed dolls since. I have also branched into doll customizing, with a focus on Monster High repaints.
